Investigating the roles of Noncanonical NF-kB and Notch signaling in promoting ovarian cancer stem-like cells | February 20, 2025 • 4:00 PM
SDSU’s growing research opportunities attract not only homegrown scholars but also degree-seeking international students who bring diversity in perspectives and lived experiences to campus.
SDSU sciences professors have worldwide impact with research projects around the globe. In locations from Tahiti to Vietnam, SDSU researchers are hard at work, with projects underway today in many more places such as Alaska, Antarctica, Tijuana and Tajikistan.
This Sciences alum got his start studying how stem cells can help regenerate the nervous system as an undergrad at SDSU.
The Department of Biology at San Diego State University has excellent degree programs with courses taught by over 50 full-time, research-active faculty members. We serve and mentor approximately 1,300 undergraduate majors in Biology and Microbiology, 80 minors, 150 graduate students, and thousands of students from other departments. SDSU offers various coursework in cellular and molecular biology, ecology, evolution, and related fields. In a typical semester, undergraduates have access to over 50 courses. Nearly all of these classes are small, with fewer than 30 students, or have associated laboratory sections with fewer than 25 students.
